Guide to the Cardu Trial

Use this guide to get the most out of the Cardu Trial for yourself and your organization. The guide consists of steps that each describe one Cardu Manager feature at a time.

Card appearance

Here you can set the background image for your card. If you do not already have a picture for the card, you can do so with an image editing software or even with PowerPoint. The image size and format are listed below the Card template header.

You may want to show the name of the card owner on the mobile card. You can adjust the name position, text size, font and colour in the “Information on card” menu. There is also a ready menu for other commonly used information.

Card contact info

At the bottom of the page, you can add add contact information to your card, such as phone number, email or web page. If necessary, you can add several contacts of the same type. The location-specific contact information is entered on the locations side.

Locations

Locations makes your business appear on the Cardu application map and to the users nearby. The initial location is created from the details provided while requesting the trial. Feel free to edit it and add new locations.

When you create content, it is a good idea to include all relevant locations to the content. This allows users to navigate to the address easily or find the nearest location.

Content

For the trial period, we’ve created examples of different types of content in the card. Contents include posts, ads, coupons and stampcards. The easiest way to view the completed examples is to press the Edit button on the right side of the content. Next to that, a menu opens where you can launch various content-related actions. For example, you can send a content notification to card users.

Any changes you make in Cardu Manager will appear with a slight delay in Cardu application. It’s a good idea to download the Cardu app, sign in, and send the card to yourself to see what your mobile card and content look like in the app.

Deliver cards

You can deliver the card you created to yourself in the Cardu application on your phone under the Manager -> Distribution -> Single in the Manager and enter your own phone number. After the trial period you can deliver cards to you clients / members. You can do the delivery either one at a time or multiple at once.

If users shall be able to take the card themselves in use from the Cardu application, you can demonstrate this by adding test users in the Demo tab. For them, your card will appear in the list of cards to add to Cardu.

Send messages

Message (notification)
Here you can send a notification to the users of your card. The message consists of a title and text. You can send a notification right away or schedule it to be sent at any time.
By sending the test message to yourself, you can check what the notification looks like before sending it out.
You can also send a notification from a content. Opening such notification will display that content in the Cardu application.

SMS
You can send text messages to users of your card, or to those who have not yet activated your card (inactive users). You can send 10 SMS messages during the trial period.
